Angel of Grief statue in Rome.Frequently copied and ripped off... too beautiful not to share.
He lives in the vatican. His name is Angelo. I want to marry him.
I was on a trip last weekend to Lake Stevens near Seattle and found this handsome fellow standing over a war memorial. I thought you all might enjoy a look, so I took a couple of pictures.
( close-up of rather 'hands on' statue scenesCollapse )Bernini... need I say more? The man's work is so amazing that I even feel the need to clarify that yes... the first two ARE statues.400 years old and the flesh looks warm.So beautiful. So sensual.Enjoy.
its from this site, which has a lot of great pictures that are (apparently) copywright free, also interesting subject matter.http://www.assumption.edu/ahc/Vanities/default.html
Hallo. I'm Lawrence, this is my intro post, with my most intimate statue relationship in London.I fell in love with Beau before I really knew who he was. I knew he was responsable for a lot of what tasteful male fashion has become: Strong shoulders, tailored waists, fitted trousers, and of course the perfectly tied cravat. I know so much more about him now, as a person, as a pioneer of male beauty.. but I still feel closest to this statue of him on Jermyn Street, at the end of an arcade of men's tailors (many of which are still looking for him to repay his debts to them). I used to go to this part of London every week for Sunday tea with friends, and would always stop to hug Beau before or after tea. He is perfect for hugging, and really appreciated it. Here I am with him. He's got such nice legs. I used to have fantasies that if I hugged him enough he would come to life.. but I think he's fine the way he is.
Grand Central Hermes, New York City ~ actually this isn't a good pic of him. He looks better in my icon :) It's hard to find pictures of him. Does anyone know a website w/ some better shots? I need my fix.
This is one of my favorite Satyrs at the Metropolitian Museum in New York:SatyrI love the description on the website... "This striding satyr, with its curvilinear contours and masterly control of chasing." I have pictures of this I took myself, but I'm too lazy to upload them. I put up one of the banners for this group on emperor_fetish, a community I just started last week dedicated to Roman Emperors. Of course anyone here is welcome there as well ^_^
This statue made me love the man. Besides the fact that the de Medicis are just....SEXY, Lorenzo has a wonderfully attractive nose. :) I wish I could have taken this picture, but alas, it is quite simply the product of a google search.
Hello lovely Hunter duo and other statue fans,Just because I'm bored tonight.. I present Canova's Three Graces. Three sexy girls for the price of one.
I have a feeling I'm going to love this community very much!
This is Lucius Aelius. He was supposed to be an Emperor of Rome, but died before he got a chance to rule. I'm currently in love with him...
